Loshi Levin is a three-legged rescue who aspires to one day be an Animal Assisted Therapy Dog. Originally from New York, Loshi moved to Oregon in 2017 with his humans. Prior to moving, Loshi used to attend some sessions at Jennifer's counseling practice in Michigan, and quickly became a special friend to clients attending therapy for all different reasons. Seeing how beneficial Loshi's presence was in sessions, it was an easy decision for Jennifer to incorporate Loshi into their practice as a whole in Oregon.
Loshi inspires people he meets to overcome adversity and be themselves. He shows people that to be different is a great thing. Loshi can currently run faster than most humans he has met and can jump very high. He is quite content being a tri-pawd and reminds people that they shouldn't be limited by others' biases.
While people often first notice Loshi because of his fast paced-three-legged hop/run, he tends to find a special spot in their heart when they see his huge smile and sweet personality. Though Loshi can be silly and active when playing, he is a professional couch potato when in therapy sessions. A lover of all humans of all ages, Loshi helps to put Little Sparrow clients at ease with his silly personality, warm snuggles, and willingness to accept endless belly rubs. Loshi has a way of expressing the unconditional love, acceptance, and patience that we all desire and deserve.
While Loshi is excited to meet and spend time with new friends, he can also be kept on Jennifer's lap during a session if it is preferred by a client. Loshi is a Shih Tzu who does not shed, has weekly baths (and daily wipe downs), and is seen regularly by a veterinarian to stay in great health and keep up to date on all required vaccinations.
