About Jennifer
Jennifer Levin (pronouns: they/them) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science (2009) and an Advanced Master of Social Work degree (2010) from the Stony Brook School of Social Welfare in New York. Passionate about considering the whole picture when treating a client (self, community, systems, and society), Jennifer is an advocate for social justice and seeks to support marginalized groups of people according to their narratives, lived experiences, and personally defined needs. In addition to clinical training, Jennifer is committed to ongoing practices for personal growth and self-reflection. Little Sparrow strives to minimize and counteract the societal and systemic harms of "isms" and "phobias" related to race, gender, sexuality, disability and/or health status, body size, neurotype, age, religion, and more.
Practicing in a variety of past settings has allowed Jennifer to work with a range of clients from diverse backgrounds. As a neurodivergent (AuDHD), fat, chronically ill, queer, nonbinary person, Jennifer is especially passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults who identify as neurodivergent, transgender, nonbinary, and/or gender expansive. Whether a person is coming to therapy to explore or address issues related to their identity, or simply wants to be in a space where they don't have to educate their therapist, Jennifer actively strives to create a supportive and affirmative environment.
